Florida Driver's License. However, if selected you must obtain a
valid Florida Driver's license before starting work as a
Boca Raton police officer.
Question: If I'm a certified police officer in a different state, do I have to
complete the Exam Qualification Course (Comparative Compliance) before
applying?

Question: I am a certified Police Officer, will my certification exempt me from any portion of the testing process.
Answer: No, all applicants are required to complete all phases of the hiring process.
Out of state applicants can
expect to make at least three trips to Florida to complete all required tests
during the hiring process.
During the first trip, the
applicant will contact the Criminal Justice Testing Center at the Broward
Community College to schedule the required tests prior to applying (CJBAT, TABE,
and Physical Agility). Note:
the Broward Testing Center requires applicants to be at the college at 3:15PM to register for the TABE instead of the 4:00PM.
When the applicant receives
all of his or her test scores they must forward those scores along with the
background packet and required documents to the Boca Raton Police Services
Department.
If the applicant is selected
to move on to the next phase of the hiring process they will be required to make
a second trip to complete the oral board, B-Pad, and polygraph exam.
If the applicant is selected
to move on to the next phase of the hiring process they will be required to make
a third trip to complete the psychological exam and the physical exam
