Community Health Programs

Blood DrawnTo encourage residents to lower their cholesterol level, free screenings are provided. Fire Rescue Paramedics and Boca Raton Regional Hospital Nurses check participants' blood pressures and collect blood samples. Laboratories at BRCH analyze the blood samples for cholesterol levels and mail the results back to the residents. Participants are provided nutritional information and suggestions on ways to reduce cholesterol levels. Screenings are held periodically at a variety of locations, including neighborhood Fire Rescue stations throughout the community.
