Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services:

Committed to excellence in meeting the fire protection and pre-hospital emergency medical needs of the community, the Fire Rescue Services Department serves the residents and visitors of Boca Raton with dedication, quality and proactive services.

Our mission: “The City of Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services Department is fully committed to preventing and minimizing the loss of life and property through the delivery of the highest quality, effective, and efficient emergency fire suppression service, emergency medical service, hazardous material emergency response, fire prevention, and public education service to the people of Boca Raton. We are dedicated to excellence, professionalism, courtesy and devotion to duty.”

Community Emergency Response Team:  

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), offered by the City of Boca Raton Fire Department, trains citizens to keep themselves, their families, and their neighbors safe during a disaster until professional help can arrive. Training topics include:disaster preparedness, disaster medical operations, light search and rescue, fire suppression, pre/post storm operations, and homeland security.

Boca Raton Community HospitalBoca Raton Community Hospital (BRCH) personnel and Emergency Management Team actively participate in the Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) and other emergency preparedness trainings with Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services.

BRCH is a member of the Healthcare Response Coalition of Palm Beach County (HERC) that is comprised of thirteen acute care hospitals and other organizations that work together on a community-wide response to both natural and terrorist disaster events through collaborative training, exercises, and standardized emergency response protocol development.

Citizens for Neighborhood Watch, offered by the Boca Raton Police services Department, is a program that empowers citizens to look out for suspicious activity in their neighborhood, and report that activity to law enforcement and to each other. The training will address a wide variety of crime prevention topics. Training dates and times are flexible.

American Red Cross:  back to top  

The American Red Cross of Greater Palm Beach Chapter offers numerous and flexible training options for volunteers, including Health and Safety Instructor training, Community Disaster Education, Damage Assessment, Disaster Action Team, Disaster Health Services, Family Services, Logistics, Mass Care, Public Affairs in Disaster, Shelter Operations, and International Relief and Development. Red Cross volunteer training is free, available to people to 12 years and older, and offered throughout the year-during weekends and weekdays, daytime and evenings.
