Engine            Ladder
The Apparatus and Vehicle Maintenance Section cares for all Boca Raton Fire-Rescue Services apparatus. A full time Equipment Specialist and Vehicle Technician, both ASE & EVT certified, are responsible for maintaining the following:
  • 2 Aerial
  • Ladders (Top Right)
  • 1 Aerial Platform
  • 6 Pumpers (Top Left)
  • 11 Mobile Intensive Care Units (Middle Left)
  • 2 Brush/Airport crash trucks (Middle Right)
  • 1 Special Operations vehicle
  • Old Betsy
  • The fleet of staff cars and utility vehicles. (Bottom)
  • 1 Mobile Command Support Vehicle

This section tests all fire apparatus pumps and aerial ladders annually in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (N.F.P.A.) and Insurance Service Office (I.S.O) standards.

Front Engine
The equipment specialist and vehicle technician responsibilities include developing apparatus specifications, maintaining all of the small engines and equipment, and the design and fabrication of certain parts and devices carried on each vehicle.
