Ordinances Regulating Burglar Alarms
Please be advised that in accordance with Article II, Sections 9-31 through 9-37 of the City Code or Ordinances Regulating Burglar Alarms, alarm users:
1. Are NOT REQUIRED to have a PERMIT.
2. Must POST A VISIBLE NOTICE with the name of the person or company responsible for the alarm.
3. Must DEACTIVATE audible alarm in 30 minutes or less.
4. Must have an AUXILIARY POWER SUPPLY which prevents alarm activations due to power failures or electrical storms.
5. Must pay the SERVICE FEE within 30 days or be subject to a FINE of $35.00 per alarm.
6. Services fees are per fiscal year beginning each October 1st.
