Ordinances Regulating Fire Alarms
Please be advised that in accordance with Article III, Sections 7-61 through 7-74 of the City Code or Ordinances Regulating Fire Alarms, alarm users:
1. Must obtain a FIRE ALARM PERMIT from the Fire Department unless the alarm is installed in a single-family residence. With the exception of single-family residences, the operation of a FIRE ALARM within the City of Boca Raton, without a permit for same, constitutes a public nuisance.
2. Must RENEW FIRE ALARM Permit by October 1st of each year.
3. Are allowed TWO FALSE ALARMS in a 12-month period, starting each October 1st. EACH false alarm after the first two is subject to a USER FEE.
4. Must pay USER FEE within 30 days or be subject to a FINE of $37.00 per alarm.
5. Make check payable to City of Boca Raton and return in enclosed envelop.
6. Services fees are per fiscal year beginning each October 1st.
