Fingerprinting (561) 338-1305
Fingerprinting services are provided at the Police Services Department from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday through Friday, and additionally from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fingerprinting services will also be provided at The City Hall Annex when it opens in December 1996 at 3001 West Yamato Road. Call in December for times. This service is provided at a nominal charge.
Fire and Life Safety Education Programs (561) 367-6700
Fire-Rescue Services provides many different education and training classes for City residents concerned about fire and life safety in their homes, workplaces and schools. These include fire safety and prevention, evacuation drills, fire extinguisher training and injury prevention. Call Fire-Rescue administration for additional information.
Fire Incident Reports (561) 367-6700
Fire Incident Reports may be requested from Fire-Rescue Administration at 2333 West Glades Road, weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Fire Safety Inspections (561) 367-6700
The Fire and Life Safety Division of Fire-Rescue Services conducts fire safety inspections of businesses prior to issuance of the "certificate of use." Home fire safety inspections of private residences are available for citizens who request them. Also see Security Inspections.
Fishing Licenses (561) 355-2329
Contact the Palm Beach County Tax Collector's office to determine if the type of fishing you are planning to engage in requires a license. Licenses are needed in most instances, but there are exceptions. Licenses are sold at the Tax Collector's office and at most tackle shops, which may add a surcharge.
Flood Zone Rating (561) 393-7792
Mortgage lenders and insurance providers may require your flood zone rating. To find out what flood zone you are in, call this number. More information is available at the One-Stop Center in City Hall.
Franchise Fees
The City collects four types of franchise fees: electric, telephone, natural gas and cable television. This fee appears as a line item on your utility bills.
